Improve your site’s mental health procedures:

We can help improve mental health screening and assessment procedures. The Center will train key personnel in administration and interpretation and provide ongoing technical and administration support. We will consult with you in problem-solving any barriers to implementation of these procedures into your mental health practices. We can also help you evaluate and streamline your current assessment practices to realize potential time and money-saving efficiencies.

Develop an understanding of your site’s mental health needs for programming and advocacy:

The Center can assist you in understanding the mental health needs of your facility/agency by helping in the preparation of psychiatric prevalence reports. These reports are not only useful in planning for staffing and program needs, but also in advocating for appropriate resources to meet your population’s mental health needs.

Increase professional development opportunities:

For those sites eligible to collaborate with the Center on a research project there may be opportunities to co-author academic papers and to co-present at juvenile justice conferences.
